My name is Jonathan Sonantis.  Well, really my name is something else, but Jonathan Sonantis is my pen name.  I originally chose this pen name for several reasons, chief of which is to pay homage to Soren Kierkegaard and his many Johannes-based pen names (Johannes-John-Jonathan…get it?).  Kierkegaard and Aquinas are chief among my philosophical and theological influences, but I’ve always loved the idea of creating a body of work that, while under a pen name, is completely consistent with the rest of one’s work in another (or the same) area.  So I contributed a chapter to the book Evangelical Exodus.  After doing this I fell in love with the freedom that writing under this pen name gave me, so I started this blog.  In this blog I  will float freely from topic to topic, occasionally engaging in some moderately hardcore philosophy, occasionally talking about star wars or other works in pop culture, occasionally critiquing society in general.  I update every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.  I look forward to speaking with you.
